| Facebook Is Just A Phase. |
| Facebook is a black horse among various social networking websites. It's growth is like a miracle, with just less than 2 years, it already has 50million users, and the number is continuing to increase each day. However, lots of users are getting bored with it and annoyed with too much personal information exposed. So I think Facebook, like my space is just a phase or fashion, which gets popular quickly and will fade soon. Do you agree? |

Yes it is a phase |
| |
| |
| |
Facebook is a fad, and eventually it will fade away. You don't see people with pet rocks anymore,
now do you? (I would love to see someone with a pet rock though.) |
| |
| |
| |
Facebook is a fad like myspace. Today facebook tomorrow who knows what. The teen crowd is the main
user of Facebook and in teen society if three people think something is cool three more people will
check it out and may think its cool, thus causing a domino effect. In a few more fads facebook will
be forgotten like Google video and neopets.com. |
| |
| |
| |
Yeah your right I think it is along with any other online meeting place. |
| |
| |
| |
Everything on the Internet is a phase. MySpace is still pretty big but its bigger with certain
GROUPS of people that it was with OTHER groups of people before. Its attracting a new crowd and the
same is gonna go for facebook. It happens to all of them and its gonna happen to face book 2. |

Facebook has been very clever in opening up it's API for developers to create a seemingly endless
range of add-on applications. This will prolong its life for some time yet, but to say that it will
never be usurped by another, more advanced, more interesting, social network (that learns from
Facebook's successes and failures) is crazy.
Technology will move on, and Facebook will eventually be bettered. The media loves to build up the
'next big thing', and once the number of people using a new, exciting rival reaches tipping point,
the 'phase', however lengthy, will be over. |

I agree that face book is just a phase. You would be checking Internet everyday and find new things.
Face book is a good website which is offering good services but human mind is always in search of
new things. It is in human nature that they get bored very soon. And when they find any interesting
new idea, they adopt it. If the web creator of phase book will keep the pace and introduce new ideas
and colors in the website then the popularity will continue, otherwise, it will be diminished. |

I actually love facebook its popular might last alot longer than you think |
| |
| |

I hate to break it to you, but in the age we're living in every social networking site on the entire
Internet could be shut down and your personal information would be no less safe than it is now.
Public records have existed much, much longer than the Internet itself, let alone social networking
sites and those determined to access them for their own purposes will find a way to do so no matter
what.
Furtheremore, social networking sites are a great way for family and friends who live too far from
each other to visit to be able to communicate. |

My parents are always on |
| |
| |
| |
Yes it is. |
| |
| |
| |
No! I think facebook is great and i can't imagine not logging on at least once a week to catch up
with old school friends. |
| |
| |
| |
Facebook is actually pretty cool! I use it all the time. I actually think that it is cooler than
Myspace. I think that it will last a long time. It is a cool way to communicate to people whom you
haven't seen in a long time and to just have random conversations with the ones you see daily or
weekly |
| |
| |
| |
It will fade for current user, but I believe the young will always use it. It's a good way to
establish social connections. |

No its not a phase because it has lots of cools stuffs their which we as teens and also proteens are
interested |
| |
| |
| |
Many of my friends use it, and even my mother, who dislikes places like Myspace, uses facebook and
loves it. It is very popular and likable. |
| |
| |
| |
I hope not. Facebook just seems to appeal to the more mature users than using a network site such as
Bebo or MySpace which feature a massive following of teenagers. |
| |
| |
| |
No its just another way people can express themselves |
| |
| |
| |
No, I don't think Facebook is a phase - it is here to stay. There are entire college courses
centered around Facebook and advertising on Facebook. |

Opening from the topic of world’s political news to sports, academic field to creative region,
anybody is now able to make the most excellent ever access through the Internet. Just a few seconds,
and the world can become in front of your knowledge-thirst eyes. Face book is just a new addition to
the best ever internet’s socialization acts. It is not only a phase to me. Through this service I
have found my old friends in no time. Though it consists of too much personal information, photos,
but one add this fully in concern of the fact it is visible to anybody. So this is not a hiding fact
that this is an open community. Using this service anyone can easily communicate his old pal whose
hands left long years ago. |

| |
Ya it could be but also its a form of communication.. |

Facebook is not just a phase because it has immense potential in terms of social networking and
privacy. Orkut turned out to be a phase because there was not much privacy and your messages and
pictures etc were visible to others but in facebook you can put a strict privacy on each and every
application and photo album separately or you can choose to block out your profile to unwanted
viewers entirely. When you provide users with such safe social networking environment they are sure
to respond positively.
True facebook is growing very fast but in terms of entertainment and networking it equals the
potential of MSN and YAHOO and should be able to stay for a longer period. |

Facebook is a good website and extremely useful. I have been with the site for some months now, and
during that time I have managed to get in touch with lots of people from my school and college that
I hadn't seen or heard from for a while.
As for privacy, Facebook is far more private than Myspace. Myspace, whilst a good site, still
displays where you live even if you set your profile to private. Facebook hides this information.
There are dozens of privacy settings on Facebook. You can choose to hide your personal information,
your photos and even your wall, where your friends leave all their comments.
Facebook is fun and even if some people get bored of it, it is still a brilliant way of getting in
touch with old friends and arranging reunions and events. |

No, I don't agree with you. Facebook is not just a phase or a black horse. You can't deny its
importance. There is a big social network on facebook and you can keep in touch with so many people
while keeping your privacy. If its on top then of course it is only because it has proved itself. |

I think facebook understands that it could be a phase, therefore they opened their API allowing
developers to build interesting applications. So I think it will last longer, and is becoming more
of a social operating system than a friends based social network. |

About privacy: I think face book is providing good privacy to their users. By using face book you
can allow people to see what you want them to see. I think it depends upon your social circle in
regards to what type of website you opt for. If most of your friends are using face book then you
will never go for My Space, Orkut and so on... Like MSN and Yahoo. If the majority of your friends
are using MSN then you won’t go for Yahoo.
Secondly, face book kind of websites are really long lasting because they have a large target market
and you don’t have to write a whole mail message just to say, "hi". |
