Most of the stuff is but a small percentage of it is probably true |

You're basing the lies of a modern book on the lies of an old book full of contradictions? To be
honest, it makes considerably more sense then the bible ever did or does. The bible basically
praises god and jesus, you really think they'd put in that he had a wife and children? Wouldn't
think so. |

How do you know Jesus didn't have children? You do realize that the Bible has probably been
changed, rewritten, and lost hundreds of times? There's no way everything in the Bible is true. |

Want a cookie?
There's no proof that anything in the bible is true either now is there? By using your logic i could
say everything in hairy potter is true and every physic book is wrong? |

Sure, the Da Vinci Code is fiction written for entertainment... But that doesn't mean every theory
in it is false. In fact I'm more suspicious of the Bible's origins........
The Old Testament has been shown in analytical books like "Who Wrote the Bible?" by Richard Elliot
Friedman to be a composite of at least three texts by three different authors. The New Testament
has even more authors and was written not at the same time as Jesus Christ's life but many years
after his death. And the composite of both Old and New Testaments was assembled and edited by
church committees more than a century ago to add and drop different books to suit their church
message. Those are the hard facts. Those facts are backed up by both church and independent
scholars.
So, HOW can we take every word of this holy sausage of a book as perfect truth written by God
him/herself? Whether or not the Bible says Jesus had children does not necessarily prove whether or
not he did. |

Honestly - how do you know he didn't have children? Perhaps he did- perhaps he fathered children
from town to town on his travels - perhaps the sum total of the fruit of his loins could fill a
small offshore mining facility - i don't know - but there is no reason to assume that just because
the Bible says he had no children - he actually didn't. |
