Everyone Should Travel Outside Their Own Country As Often As Possible
Travel broadens the mind and challenges the individual, it develops their personality and enlightens their knowledge of the world and cultures.

I agree everyone needs to realize first hand what other countries are like and why their own is better or worse. It should make you appreciate where you come from in some small if not large ways!

This is one world, and if humans are messing it as bad as AL Gore says, than you better do it quick.

Who could argue against this?
Ignorance of other cultures and their customs leads to unfounded prejudices and misunderstandings. Everyone should go to the Third World at least once, to see that live is indeed possible without “modern conveniences,” like running water, electricity, phone service, even proper roads. Yes, folks, it is!
I never go into a drugstore and see its 40 brands of toothpaste without remembering the Andean Indian women I’ve seen selling tiny bruised apples on dirty blankets. Travel to underdeveloped nations gives one a sense of perspective; 40 brands of toothpaste are an absurd luxury that we have come to view as essential. Get real!
There are selfish reasons to travel -- to see pretty and historic places, lie on beaches, participate in fun ecotourism activities, relax with loved ones -- but, to me, learning about and being forced to join into “lesser” cultures is the primary one.

Traveling is one such activity which widens some one's knowledge and idea about the different cultures that we have in this world. If someone is having the chance then he or she must make a move outside the country as and when possible. Thus someone can get to know how people in other countries live, what their lifestyles are, how they developed their culture, what business and other economic matters prevail in that country. Besides this someone will also get the idea about the scenic beauty and other natural elements in that land. When going to some other country one must keep in mind that he or she may see absolutely diverse cultures or religious beliefs in that country but they should not disagree with those ideas because every country is having the freedom to think and make their own choices about everything.

If they want to and it is not wrong; sure. Seeing different "worlds" is usually good.

Absolutely, travelling can be relaxing, educational and highly enjoyful. Though time and financial limitations may pose a problem, I believe everyone should get out and about at some stage.

Traveling can be very educating whether it is traveling within your country or outside of it. Distances have been deemed insignificant by the fast and convenient transportation modes that prevail in the world today.

Experiencing different cultures and meeting people with different beliefs lets you have an open mind towards life and its realities. By limiting yourself to one region you are deprived of the beauties that are spread all around the world in different forms.

Travel definitely broadens the horizons. And brings you into contact with different, cultures, peoples and languages you might not otherwise encounter. There’s nothing like travel to enable a person to appreciate and see new outlooks and ways of looking at things.

Staying in the one place can all too easily lead to your world and horizons, in all senses, becoming very narrow and insular. It’s only by going away, too, that you often find a renewed appreciation for aspects of your daily life you had become blasé about or simply took for granted. Being exposed to new ideas can only be a good thing.

I think that it's really a great Idea to go to different and learn about their culture history and background. When you say "As often as possible" I'm guessing you mean whenever you get the money and i agree1

Well I don't know about "as often as possible" or about "traveling" but living abroad has been a great character building experience for me. I find simply traveling, ie. Staying at hotels and seeing tourist stuff, doesn't cut it in comparison. However something is better than nothing.

People should learn about their own country first. We have the shortest history of any country. It is a shame how little people know about our history and geography. I wish I had the finances to travel the US. There is so much to see. The Grand Canyon, Niagra Falls, Gettysberg, Washington D.C., etc.
