Sorry if I came late to this party. You probably already had your debate. And I don't agree with
the topic but I'll play devil's advocate to pitch some ideas: 1) Both animals and plants are living
things, the difference is animals have at least a slim chance of fighting for their lives whereas
plants are helpless. Vegetarians eat the helpless. 2) Animal protein contains all the vital amino
acids, whereas only a few plants come close and they have to be carefully combined or supplemented
to make sure the vegetarian doesn't have imbalanced or incomplete nutrition. 3) Your teeth and
digestion are definitely designed for eating meat. Also your large brain's energy needs require the
higher fat and protein from eating meat. Biologically you're built to eat meat. 4) Lots of people
have given vegetarianism a brief try and found they just can't give up the meat. And when the shoe
is on the other foot a similar statement isn't as easy to make, because it's not like vegetarians
hate the taste of animal protein, more often it's simply they object to the idea of eating animal
protein. The difficulty in switching to vegetarianism is in part evidence that it is unnatural for
our species. 5) What's the percentage of vegetarian restaurants in the world compared to
restaurants serving some form of meat? I'd bet less than 1% of the world's eateries are purely
vegetarian in their menu. What's that tell you about world opinions on vegetarianism? After all,
we vote with our money, our feet, and our stomachs, so clearly most of the world votes for meat. |

For the sake of your debate,
meat has a lot of pretoein.
Its good for you cooked medium rare and not singed.
It tastes better than most greens fruits are the only competition in taste.
There are many kinds of meats and even lean meats to watch fat ingestion.
Tell everyone to be environmentally friendly and go green because we cannot take trees away that
consume carbon dioxide. Animals give off carbon and it may help a little to consume some of them. |
