Even Though Chinese Food Is Usually Quite Greasy And Sugary, You Can Find Chinese Restaurants That Cook Healthy Food. But I Did NOT In This Case......
I went to a Chinese restaurant and asked the waiter if they served low fat food. He said, "Everything here low fat." I said, surprised, "Everything here is really low fat?" Excited about their healthy low fat concept, I ordered. The food arrived and was as greasy and fatty as ever. I told the waiter the food was definitely not low fat. The waiter said, "I get cook." The cook came out and said, "I Lo Fat. I make everything myself. Everything Lo Fat" This really happened to me. I did not make one bit of it up.

Does that mean Moogootabby has less calories that chiuauahburrito?
Many times the food contains MSG and is high in sodium, so those are also unhealthy things. I say buy a wok and learn to cook your own.

MSG has nothing to do with fat content. It is a form of sodium and a flavor enhancer. It was thought to cause different symptoms in certain people who were "sensitive" to it, however, much of that was found to be untrue. It is bad for those with high blood pressure (as is all sodium) and can trigger migraines in people with classic migraine syndrome.

I think you can and really in any restaurant there could be example of both unhealthy as well as healthy food so really its more down to you as a customer to choose something that would fit into the healthy or unhealthy category as you wish.

First, yes you can get healthy foods in some Chinese restaurants but the choice of what you order makes a big difference. Shrimp or seafood or tofu or thin sliced chicken are all fine as long as not fried or swimming in sauce, same with veggies there are lots of choices but they have to be fixed right, and rice and noodles could be skipped, and some places will indeed have salad-styled options. And likewise the opposite can be true, even a professed health food Chinese restaurant will have a few things on the menu which are swimming in fat and sodium in case someone wants them. Choose carefully.

As for your own experience I'm sorry it was a disappointment. I guess I'd also say "low fat" is "relative" meaning compared to a burger joint their Chinese food may indeed be lower in fat, whereas you're thinking compared to ideal pristine unadulterated Chinese food this latest restaurant's specimens were pathetic.

No no, all Chinese food is good for you, And to prove it , go to your local Chinese place how many dead people ? None! So it must be good for you. It's logical.
