Well, I see what you are saying.
But, too bad it is that way, still.
Wisdom, hopefully provides a way of knowing and seeing and understanding without having to DO or
SUFFER because of wrong paths.
Knowing Good, without having to have explored Bad to know the other exists or is like. |

I'm voting for this although I'm not convinced it's the FUNDAMENTAL ingredient. Empathy is really
important. When I make moral decisions, there's not a conscious comparative process. I encounter a
situation, and my sense of what-do-I-do immediately provides an answer. Granted, that innate skill
is bolstered by the dualities I have experienced and stored in my memory. But it seems as though
without empathy, every individual on Earth would be looking out for #1 all the time.
Great debate topic. |

I don't understand the question but I'm gonna go with the flow. |

When you feel something, there is always someone else who will feel the opposite, so yes, duality is
very important. |

I believe that this is the natural balance of life. It is like saying, you cannot have money with
work, you cannot have health without proper diet and exercise. For every action, there is a
reaction, and everything has to be one way or another; otherwise, it would not exist. Therefore, I
do agree with Charlee. One situation is simply the absence of another situation. It is like the
ying yang, within every good, there is a little bad and within every bad, there is a little good.
So, I agree with this debate. Duality is human nature. It is the spice of life. It helps build
thought, intelligence, character, and personality. Without duality, life would be rather boring and
non-challenging |

I also agree. As much as postmodernism diminishes dichotomous thinking, it is a very real part of
reality. I don't think it is the essence of existence, however. The essence of existence is that
all was created "good". I'm talking about the important stuff here, not like up vs. Down or right
vs. Left.etc.--but the things you brought up, Jakers. One line of thinking goes like this: Evil is
not really some thing, but it is the absence of good, hatred in not really some thing, but it is
the absence of love and so on. When I say they are not really some thing, I mean they were not part
of the creation, but they are most certainly real. |

Oh i believe this very much. For every assett you have there is a corresponding defect of
character. It is in this duality, and struggle, that we find and build our individual moral fiber.
Without this duality we could not grow. |

There is no morality and human nature, both are a lie told to us by the nonexistent god |
