Dr. David Kelly Was Assassinated.
There are too many strange circumstances surrounding the death of David Kelly for it to be dismissed as a suicide. The Liberal Democrat MP Norman Baker spent more than a year researching and writing about Kelly's death. Although by no means an inveterate conspiracy theorist, Baker's conclusion is that Kelly was murdered. Baker is a serious man. He is of ministerial calibre, and his opinion deserves to be taken seriously.

I am of the opinion that Kelly was murdered. The suicide explanation just doesn't make sense. For example, it was said he died of blood loss from the cut in his wrist. Medics who arrived on the scene said there was almost no blood in his vicinity. When people die by cutting their wrists, there is blood spattered all around.

In reality, however, people almost never die by cutting their wrists. This happens in Hollywood movies only. In the real world, successful suicide almost never takes place by that means.

They also said that taking pills contributed to Kelly's death yet hardly any chemical trace of the drug was found in his system.

The absurd Lord Hutton's inquiry barely looked into the cause of Kelly's death, yet its existence pre-empted the coroner's inquiry which would normally take place in the case of any suspicious death in Britain. Bizarrely, Hutton's inquiry had even fewer powers than a normal coroner's inquest does.
