True. In fact the same can be said about bulk discount stores like Costco and BJ's. Do your homework and do the math, quite often you can come out ahead shopping in your regular store. And don't forget to factor in waste -- if you're likely to waste some of the product you got such a good buy on then you can't really count the wasted part in your savings estimate (buying 8 heads of lettuce cheaper means nothing if 6 will be spoiled and thrown away before they can be used).
