I don't think you can award any pet as being, "The Best Pet Ever" Different animals work for
different people. For those who aren't often at home, a cat or a goldfish would be the "Best Pet
ever" Though I agree; dogs are fun. |

They are good pets, but the are not the the best. They are also good pests. |

No, i don't think so at least. Dogs are what they say "a man's best friend' but i don't think they
are the best pets. |

Dogs are likely to be domesticated with humans. Cats are more loving and laid back than a dog. Dogs
suck all they do is lick there ass and eat. |

Dogs are an example of a species that has been distorted by human interference so that its original
character has been lost. Originally, dogs were probably much like wolves. Only maybe 1 out 1000 dogs
would have been in any way friendly to human beings. But somehow those friendly dogs got in contact
with humans. And, of course, because they were friendly and wagged their tails, humans fed them and
cared for them. So they were able to live quite well. They reproduced and friendly dogs genes were
passed on to the next generation.
Meanwhile, out in the wild, the normal unfriendly dogs had a much harder time of it. They had to
find sustenance on their own and didn't have humans to care for them. Of course, they tried to
survive and reproduce but were much less successful at it than the dogs that were being cared for by
humans.
This process played itself out over many generations. In the end, friendly dog genes supplanted
unfriendly dog genes in the gene pool. If the offspring of a friendly dog displayed any of its
natural wildness, it would either be killed or no longer cared for by humans.
Even though unfriendly dogs were the real dogs, friendly dogs basically took over the "dog" mantle
and became everyone' s favourite pet. Yet these friendly dogs are a disgrace to the original species
of dog. They basically sold their dog souls for a can of tinned meat each day. The original proud,
wild dogs barely exist any more in this world. Yes, your domesticated friendly dogs are the best
pets but they are not true dogs. The true dogs have been almost forgotten and would have been
terrible pets. |
