Why not? Pardon my liberalism, but if they really want to have a boy/girl, why not let them? It's
not like they're choosing bone structure and hair colour. It'd be just like them having that gender
of child. |

I can't judge someone who would want to do it. Everyone's situation is different. It's sad that it's
cheaper to do that than adopt a baby of the desired sex. I can't judge anyone. I was blessed w/
kids of both sexes.. If I had all boys I can't say I wouldn't do gender selection to try for a girl. |

I wouldn't do it because I don't really care about the sex, but feel free if you have a special
interest! |

I'm for it because i would do it.... |

Yeh but I would pretty much draw the line here. It's when you start altering the genes of the baby
to determine its appearance and personality that it truly becomes a 'designer baby'. |

I believe that depends on two factors.
1. How rich the parents are.
2. How much will they share with me. |

Yeah and all babies will be blue eyed with blond hair eh?what if the baby is a girl and you wanted a
boy? Get rid of it and start again ? What's next Hoofs if you want your kid to be a track star? Or
maybe 4 arms on kids destined to work factory jobs? Tough hide on the army brat? Really anyone who
has a child should feel ovrjoyed at whatever they get. I am not religious but when my kids were born
I knew that's what spirituality felt like |

No it could be abused by those who believe having a baby girl is a curse. |

No. Mostly because (Though I'm atheist, so I don't believe in a 'soul' per se) of Gender Identity
disorders, though not very common, can develop from normal womb development, how would it be if we
did this? Anyway, I don't think we should be able to alter genders, because we really shouldn't get
to pick. How could you say 'Well..Hmm..I'd love it if it were a girl...' as though you were shopping
for blouses? It's wrong and immoral to try to change things as important and natural as gender. |

There was this country, where the common person decided what gender they wanted their baby to be
souly based on the fact that men kept their sir names and therfore kept the legacy of their
ancesters. They would either kill the baby or adopt it to a family usually of a different
nationality, if the baby was a girl. Now that country has a population with the majority being male,
so what they did brought a huge crisis. This is what could happen to others, if we decided what
gender our baby would be. But I would hate to be stuck with a baby girl. |
