I hope so, I have seen him in previous dramas and have liked his acting. It may take sometime to get
used to, Tennant has been fantastic. Remember how everyone doubted him when he became Doctor, well
the same is happening again, I believe Matt will do the job well. |

I'm cautiously optimistic, I'm just hoping, as my wife thinks, he's not going to go goth or
something else idiotic. That's something that will entirely kill the show. |

I hope to be pleasurably surprised. I usually am. Every single new Doctor choice from the beginning
has made me think oh, no! And almost all of them have turned out to be really good choices. The only
ones I thought were poor were Peter Davison (just bad casting), and Colin Baker (hopeless
interpretation). I didn't watch Party Animals, and I don't think I've seen Matt Smith in anything
else. I don't think it's such a good idea to make the Doctor so young. But it sounds like he's a
good actor certainly, even if the papers called him 'some floppy-haired kid'. So I'm optimistic. |

Matt Smith, judging by his appearance, will play the part well, and do the show justice. |
