| American Bashing English People Have Forgotten Their Own History |
| By the so many comment on this site, it seems to me, they either forget their own history or they're hypocrites. I just think they're forgetful. |

I have never been taught to dislike the English and didn't know that my culture bashed them in any
way. |

There is a vast difference between historical conduct and contemporary conduct. Everyone surely
accepts that our canon of moral values has evolved with time and that, in the 19th century, all
countries, including those that proclaimed themselves the leading lights of civilization, acted in
ways that we would today consider immoral and unacceptable.
Only if people consistently defend their country's historical conduct as moral could they
legitimately be called hypocrites for criticizing similar conduct from the United States today. |

Translation of your intent: "Because other countries are guilty of hypocrisy, no nation gets to
criticize the US for its own hypocrisy!"
If Yank Christians actually believed in the line, "He who is without sin may cast the first stone",
then all Americans would shut up instead of criticizing others.
No country is innocent, and the actions of one's country do not prevent innocent citizens from
criticizing others.
Edit:
How unsurprising that an American jumps to a wrong conclusion and does so without finding the facts
first. I'm not British.
And then you wonder why there's valid criticism, which you mislabel as "bashing". |
