I agree, everybody wants to do things differently. Which is a bad thing when you want everybody to
do things your way. Logically, it just depends on your way of doing things. If two opposite ways
attract? Then surely a mutual agreement can be achieved? Therefore, diversity should not be a
problem, if the end result is enlightenment by finding a mutual agreement. Hence diversity is a good
thing in the long run, but a bad thing in a short period, if, no solution is found. I think it
always best to sleep on diversity, you'll usually wake up with the solution in the morning. |

Diversity leads to acceptance and open-mindedness, both of which are good things. |

To have diversity is to have variety. Is variety not the spice of life? |

Diversity it what makes this site, it's what makes the world what it is and where it is, the science
and religion and technology that we have.
Main word I'm looking for, competition. |

Everyone has the right to do things how they want. Also, it is boring as heck to have everything run
according to me. |

Nonsense. 1) Diversity is mandatory in a democracy which is a multi-racial multi-cultural nation
like the U.S. Even if you expelled half the population of the U.S. You'd still have tremendous
diversity remaining. 2) Diversity is a check and balance on the selfishness and corruption of the
elite and/or majority. 3) Diversity is the spice of life. Just think of the variety of cuisines
you have to choose from. 4) Diversity brings forth a great variety of ideas and techniques, new
music, entrepreneurship, etc. |

Diversity rocks. It expands our cultures, minds, and consciousness in a very enriching and positive
way.
It also helps us learn about people that we may otherwise fear and therefore develop irrational
prejudices against.
Once people develop these fears and prejudices, diversity is harder, but even more important. |

I think it's a good thing because it broadens the mind and shows us new ways of looking at
things.
It's good for people to disagree with you because it allows you to confirm your own views and show
others the validity of your views and also, it exposes you to views that you may not have heard
before. All in all, it allows everybody to become more enlightened as we all agree on a collective
set of values and beliefs and discard the less favourable ones.
Personally, I would hate to live in a society where everybody agreed with me, I think it would be
terribly boring. |
