Did We Ever Actually Land On The Moon
There are many reasons for whether we landed on the moon or not for example gravity on the moon compared with earth is 1/6 but if u fast forward our astronauts by two they look as if they are running in real life on earth. WHAT DO YOU THINK ?

Yes we did. All of the common claims have been repeatedly debunked, for example by the Mythbusters.

"we" didn't land there, unless one of us is actually Buzz Aldrin.
Or if you mean "we" as a country, Britain didn't land on the moon. (This is a UK based site) If you mean "we" as the United States, there is controversy about the first landing, but I have no doubt that the other landings happened.

YES! What do you think, NASA lied? There are videos of it, also.

Of course we did - 'we' in the more global sense, since that's the only way any of us non-Americans can take the credit ;)

All of the 'arguments' have explanations that are too convincing - you know the sort of thing: These cross hairs are in the wrong place, HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? Answer: It's a cropped photo idiot. If there was real proof don't you think the Russians, as NASA's 'arch nemesis' at that time, would have picked up on it in a few years and shouted about it a bit?!

I believe our government lies to us about a lot of things, but I have no doubt we landed on the moon. In fact we competed directly with Russia on space exploration when we were arch enemies during the Cold War and if there was any way the Russians could have disparaged our claim they would have. No governments dispute that we did it, only individual conspiracy theorists take issue with it.

The Americans did land on the moon because on all the pictures there is the lunar landscape and the earth in the background. The Americans wouldn't have been able to get these pictures if they didn't get to the moon and there were no sophisticated enough computers to land anything remotely.

There are many doubts that whether we actually landed on the moon or not because there some reasons which definitely leave us with a thought on the issue. If taken scientifically then we know that the gravity on moon is 1/6th than compared to earth, thus it is expected that the movement on moon will not be as the same as that on earth. But if we see images that the satellite cameras have captured about the movements of the astronauts and we accelerate the motion of the image we will see that there is a very close resemblance of the astronauts walking on the earth and on the moon. Thus the doubt remains that whether these astronauts have really been to the moon or not. Then again the question comes that had not they been to the moon then how come they gather information about it.

It's really sad to see people so ignorant that they believe we didn't go. Then again, you've got people who think the Earth is hollow and reptilian aliens are trying to take over our government, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Disgusted, but not surprised.

What really spikes the argument of the conspiracy theorists on this one is the fact that astronauts left behind an optical laser device on the Moon’s surface. This device is used to enable astronomers to make accurate measurements of the distance the Moon is from Earth.

To the best of my knowledge, astronomers have been bouncing laser beams of this gizmo ever since Apollo 11 astronauts first got Moon dust on their space suits.

It’s official name if you wish to look this up is the Laser Ranging Retroreflector and laser beams reflected from it can be observed by observatory telescopes including telescopes in Texas, Hawaii, France, Germany and Australia. Unless, of course, they are all in on it too…

The Soviets also left a laser reflector on the moon yet they never had a manned moon mission. NASA had several unmanned moon missions. A reflector could easily have been left by any of those, so the existence of lunar reflectors doesn't disprove the conspiracy theories at all.

The flag fluttering is easily explainable by the vibrations sent through the flagpole as it is inserted into the ground. Air is not required. Speaking of air...the moon isn't a freaking vacuum, that's SPACE. The moon has an atmosphere. It's just not humanly-inhabitable because there's not enough OXYGEN there for us to breath. Air is not JUST oxygen, you know.

The light sources are 3: The sun (duh), the camera itself (so that the image can be focused), and the lights from the actual moon lander (they had to see where they were landing, didn't they?).

As far as the "zoomed image", it's all up to the viewer's perspective. It's like psychological picture tests...the mind sees what it wants to see, and on a picture that blurry, that could be anything. I can look at a rock and say "OMG, that looks exactly like the portrait of Abraham Lincoln!!!"

NASA has LOST the tape, not destroyed it. Do you understand how many bunkers they use as databases? A video that old has been misplaced in a hangar full of THOUSANDS of shelves filled with documents, drawings, pictures, videos, and paperwork. It's a wonder they can find anything at all. They're scientists, not organizers. They've got better things to do with their time than sit there and organize OLD data when they could be collecting NEW ones.

Now believe you me when I say that NASA knew what they were doing when they landed on the moon...as someone studying Aerospace Engineering (and whose Aerospace Mechanics professor was the Deputy Administrator of NASA at the time), I've seen first-hand the numbers they crunched, the formulas they followed, and the organization behind the launch. It's no simple task, and we've unfortunately had to study it all. They didn't fake it. Did you know that every single stage of the process was done by 3 different sets of scientists, JUST so that they could test it multiple times over the same time frame, and if one group got different results, they would have 2 other groups' findings to compare with? That's a lot of trouble to have gone through to film something in a hangar at Area 51...

I think that to lie about this would get our government in huge trouble not to mention that other countries also claim that they got on the moon too and I doubt that there would be a global wide LIE about that kind of thing.

We have too much information that has been reliable! For instance...On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first man to step onto the surface of the Moon. He was followed by Edwin Aldrin, both of the Apollo 11 mission.

It seems everytime I leave a comment on a post, you disagree, or leave strange comments. I'm starting to think you were/are friends with that robo guy, and are getting some kind of strange amuzement out of disagreeing with what I say regardless of the issue.

Although I would like to do more research on the subject, from what I've heard and read of, more goes against us landing on the moon than those that go for it. If we did end up going to the moon, then the footage was probably fake and used to cover up something else [insert suspenseful music here].

The US government lies to us about UFOs, so I think they probably did lie to us about the moon landing as well. After reading about this, I am more convinced now that it was all staged. It is hard to put people into space today. We see and hear about problems NASA has with space flight all the time. I can only imagine that back in the 1960s, it was probably impossible to send people into actually space and have them survive to tell about it. They probably wanted to turn people’s attention away from something bigger that was occurring and they used this set up to do it. It seemed to work because it got the pubic attention and as a result, the government was able to deal with the other issue at hand. Man may have never landed on the moon, but aliens sure have landed on the Earth.

If you look at the pictures of the moon landing, you'll see a flag fluttering. That's interesting. I didn't know there was any wind on the surface of the moon. You also see light from multiple light sources. Where are all these light sources coming from? The clincher is that if you zoom in really close on the visor of one of the studionauts, you will see a Coke can reflected in it.

And isn't it just amazing that NASA is saying they have LOST the original high-quality videotapes of the moon landing, so that all we have now are badly degraded second and third-hand images? How convenient for them.

It's easy for us to forget it now, but space exploration was highly politicised then. Indeed it was called the Space Race, a conflict between the United States and the Soviet Union to demonstrate which society had the superior technology and culture. The Soviets were ahead for a long time. They put the first man into space. The Americans had to play catch-up. This became especially urgent after JFK promised to put a man on the moon in ten years. After he was assassinated by Lee Oswald (lol, yeah right), everyone thought they had to fulfil JFK's promise as a tribute to him. There was only one problem. They couldn't do it. There wasn't enough time. So they had to fake it.

For the flag fluttering thing - well who else told you that there's no wind on the moon? The government did hmmm....? and how would they know such a thing if they didn't study the moon thoroughly??? and if they didn't o idk TEST IT? w/e its your opinion.
