Hardly , we are just the first generation that grew up with access to much of our current technology
as a way of life. The real pioneers were the baby boomers just before us. But there are ways to
utilize technology that a pioneer would never come up with. That takes someone who is used to
technology as a way of life. |

All the wonderful stuff we have today is built on a foundation of technological achievements that
stretch back throughout history. In terms of pioneering technology, the period 1910 - 1950 is really
the foundation of everything we know today. This is the period during which we invented or
discovered everything from the nature of the universe to computers, antibiotics, spacecraft, quantum
mechanics, TV, medical technology, and modern psychology.
Many life-changing technologies emerged DURING generation X, but were actually produced by
individuals born in the previous generation: Microsoft, Apple, video games. |
