Despite Controversy About Michael Jackson, His Death Is Still A Sad Moment In History.
Punching kids in the face doesn't over shadow the contributions he made in pop and the music industry.

I never really listened to his music. It is kind of old, but I still feel sad. My Aunt said that she was only 14 when John Lennon died but she still felt sad even though his music was before her time. I think it is just sad when anyone dies.

I was not around for most of Michael Jackson's life, so his death did not touch me personally. While his years of substance abuse caught up to him later in life, resulting in lots of bad choices, he is still a human being who lost his life. He inspired many artists and fans. I think whenever someone dies, it is a tragedy, for someone....

He was a human being. He's dead. Let's leave him in peace now.

I liked his earlier music and do recognize the impact he had on the music world. Of course his latter life was a freak show. But I see little value in either of the extremes of either a) idolizing his music career in an endless media orgy of retrospectives, or b) dragging his child molesting plastic surgery baby dangling arse through public humiliation.

Just let him go.

I was never crazy about him but my Dad and Stepmom liked him. They got to see him once. Everyone dies, but unexpected death is always a shock. We lost two more celebrities this week--Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, though their deaths were not surprises.

I don't revel in his death, but Jackson was not relevant. He was an attention whore who only cared about record sales to save his flagging career, one which started on talent but then was propped up by on hype as his meager talents faded.

"King of pop"? Hardly. King of payola is more like it, for paying MTV to say that moronic phrase. "King of pap" is also a propos, given the complete pile of tripe he had released since "Off The Wall".

It was never proven that Jackson molested children, but to deny that he endangered his kid's life by hanging the baby over a balcony...well, that takes unparalleled stupidity and wilful blindness.

What controversy? He died. A controversy indicates differing opinions about this fact...

Uhh..:/ yea'. Well I believe the controversy he was speaking of was the one over his child malestation accusations.

Sooo. Yea'. I have no idea why you were even over here in the first place, despite if there was a controversy or not. I just think you were being a d-ouche bag and trying to be a smarta$$; Only ending up to look stupid. SORRY for the name calling, I just don't like you already and you kinda push the camel down the hill...yea' take whatever you may from that metaphor.

There's nothing sad about it, he's a crazy pedophile who got chased out of the country and I'm not sad at all that he's dead. Not a minute too soon if you ask me.

We don't know that he was a pedophile. He was aquitted. It could be someone accused him of that for their own gain. If that is the case than the acuser is the crazy one not to mention evil. You would be surprised at what people will do to others to get what they want.
