Motherhood is much more natural for most women. Because most of us learn through our mothers. The
percentages of good fathers is not where it should be. Why? Maturity levels, sneaky behaviors, and
selfishness. Slowly the margin is moving in the right direction closing this gap. But many factors
play into why so many DaDs can't be as successful. Having a good father who would give the son an
ability to learn from. Many men are too young to have kids.(twenties opposed to thirties) Issues
with work, laborers drink. They come home exhausted physically fatigued and drink to stay awake. It
turns into a nightmare.
But I am optimistic that the number of good dads opposed to bad dads will improve. Because children
are very happy and secure when their dad shows love and support. |

Yes. If everyone had a good dad, the world would surely be better off. |

Unfortunately, in our culture, it is still considered slightly “unmanly” to be heavily involved
with your children What a pity …
My dad was very unusual. In the 1950s to 1970, he helped his full-time worker wife with at least 50%
of the household chores -- including raising his three girls.
When I think of my young childhood, it is Dad, not Mom, whom I envision. He bathed us, sang
lullabies, took us to the library, spent every vacation with us. Was I in for a big shock when I
became an adult and found out ALL dads didn’t act this way!
In the Third World, you see dads hauling around babies and toddlers, with a beatific expression on
their faces. Clearly, the care of young kids is not “women’s work.”
Lack of paternal involvement has become a chief reason for our culture’s boys’ inability to
become good citizens. |

So true. My dad isn't near as involved with me and my bro as my mom is. |

I don't think Dads need to be more involved. Dads need to be EQUALLY involved. |

I magree w/ you because my dad is always over at his friends house and never home to be w/ me or my
littler brothers and my mom feels like a single parent! So i think that dads should get more
involved! |
