Cutting Carbs Combined With Exercise Really Does Work For Losing Weight
Who else here has tried it? (Cutting out most grains and sugars and replacing them with meats and veggies?) I'm down 13 pounds. Granted there are marketed diets with similar strategy and I don't fully agree with any of them (Atkins, South Beach, Paleo). But if you fill yourself with lean meats, veggies and salad, fruit, and start to work out regularly, it really does work. And you can do it as a lifestyle change, not necessarily as a traditional "diet".

How long did it take to lose 13 pounds? I'm thinking about changing my diet myself.

 The diet change has been 3 months and I lost about 8 pounds over those 3 then got stuck. Then I joined a gym 3 weeks ago and started working out 30 min before work and 30 min after work and lost the next 5 pounds over those 3 weeks. So I think the combination of the two is necessary, neither diet nor exercise alone works as well.
