As long as we are willing to apply the same logic to Global Warming, I'm in agreement. The
consensus was just as much about money and power back then as it is today. |

If it’s a consensus of airplane pilots then no, it doesn’t have anything to do with science. If,
however it’s a consensus of scientists then yes that does pertain somewhat to science. Take oh I
don’t know, say Global Warming for example; it is much like Darwin’s evolution in that it was
the radical idea that nobody would believe thirty years ago. But over time as more and more evidence
supported the idea it became more and more accepted. Now Global Warming and Evolution are both
overwhelmingly accepted in the science community. Of course both still have their naysayers; you can
go to the creationist’s museum and see the dioramas that show dinosaurs and cave men living
together. Boy I sure would hate to be one of those guys that was still desperately clinging to
ridiculous outmoded ideas. |
