High school is. So why not college?

They are in the UK, and I think that not having fees makes education accessible to all, not just the well-off, just as it should be.

Interesting thought, if you Americans don't have a NHS, or have state-funded Universities, then where does all your tax money go? Defence, probably.

Since when is High School free? Just because the student isn't paying, doesn't make it free. Everything in life has a cost. And if you look close enough, you will find someone is paying for everything that is "free."

College/University is not and should not be free. If it were "free", what value does the education provided have?

Simple; senior school is compulsory; university is not, so you should pay for the latter.

 tax payers. or at least make collages not pcharge as much. they make ALOT of the money you pay.
