It depends on which celebrity you are taking about. Some celebrities are good role models for young
people and others are terrible. For example, Brittany Spears is the worst role model ever for young
people. She does make young people think that you can be a fluzzy mother and get by with it. On the
other hand, people like Tom Cruise who adopts a child and is a hard worker and family man is a great
model. He never gets into trouble or does stupid things. So, some celebrities are okay, while others
are trash. People do need to learn to distinguish between who is a good role model and who is a bad
role model. Celebrities will always influence young people rather bad or good and it is the parent's
and teacher's responsibility to see that the young kids are being influenced more by the good
celebrities. |

I understand that youngsters need to
learn some originality. The stink of it all
is this: Celebrities teach youngster that you can get paid for having fun and doing something they
enjoy at the same time. What would we have them do, dead end job, die in war or get a degree
that their parents always wanted for themselves. |
