I don't think everyone here knows the proper definition of a civilization.
I will give a brief statement describing what a civilization actually is:
A band of people with the seven characteristics.
1.centralized government, 2. Agricultural intensification, 3. Specialization in occupation, 4. Class
structure, 5. Merchants and trade, 6. Development of science and writing, 7. And State of
religion.
Centralized government - enforces rules, laws and regulations on your life. Destroys all hope for
freedom. Laws are only needed in a civilization where panicy, stupid, and fearful masses of people
thrive.
Specialization occupation - creates the need for money... Enough said.. Money is evil in its
ultimate form. Money is greed, corruption, evil, war, caution, death and destruction all in one
word.
Class structure - This separates everyone in a class, putting certain people on a higher level than
others. This separation of people creates distress among the masses, and ultimately creates racism.
It abandons any sense of equality, where as in the natural world everything is equal, their are no
exceptions for any type of life form.
In a civilization, a sense of purity and unacceptance occurs. Usually there is one ultimate group of
people that control everything. This creates genocide, and conflicting war with people around them.
The people of the civilization think they are the chosen ones and think nothing of the people around
them.
A civilization also holds a greater number of people. This leads to a great rate of consumption and
destruction of everything they need to sustain their mass.
I could go on and on about so many more types of evil that is created with a civilization.
If you need any proof of this, read any history book and you will see since the begging of the first
civilization five thousand years ago, all this evil has occurred through out the years.

Evil is defined by society, and society is the human interactions within a civilization, so without
civilization there would be no concept of evil. |

The only thing that makes that claim true is the fact that in the wild of nature there is no evil,
the very concept of evil is a societal creation, so yes "Civilization is the root of all evil".
When a lion kills a gazelle it isn't evil, it's food.
But what your argument also misses is society is also the root of all goodness. You can't have one
concept without the other. And I'd argue the proof good is still predominant in society is the fact
that so many people live, breathe, have meaningful lives, in relative security. If evil was
predominate we'd be in a never ending hell of our own making. As I sit at my computer writing I
know that outside my door any number of bad things might happen but most likely it will be just
another average day like any other, I can eat what I want, do what I want, try to have fun, etc.
Clearly the evil is not the dominant factor. |

We would be in a state of chaos without civilization. |

This raises some interesting questions. What is civilization? It is a group of individuals. How
does civilization become evil, if the primary units are basically good individuals? It seems to be
contradictory, a nonsequitur. It only makes sense if some or all of the individuals carry levels of
evil, individually. Civilization seems to create more good than harm. It provides institutions to
protect us from evil, such as courts, police, defense, etc. It provides institutions that focus on
the good and trying to do good, such as churches and schools and support of families, etc. Plus,
civilization has provided material things that man could never have attained living in the "wilds"
of nature.
I suggest watching the movie or reading the book, LORD OF THE FLIES. I think this captures what
happens to man without civilization. |

Civilisations brought us healthcare, better living standards, great scientific break throughs,
wealth, prosperity and opportunities.
It brings art, culture, social interaction and a sense of togetherness.
I think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. |
