| Circles On Their Way Out Of Fashion |
| In the past two years people have been trending to circles on everything; lamps, wall art, sculptures, candle holders and furniture. I am about to redo my living room and I'm liking the circle trend but worried that since it has been popular for the past two years (that's about how long the previous square trend lasted) should i wait to see what's next?

I agree. Circles can get really boring and too retro looking. Retro can become too much of a
metaphor. You want people who see your home (and this includes you) to simply enjoy it rather than
have to think--what is the statement here? I like the oblong patterns I am seeing. They are crisp
and fresh looking and don't look like they are trying to "be" something. |

Good:-)
I always thought circles boring and redundant.
Angular geometric patterns done tastefully are far more interesting.
But use of solid-colours is best. You then get the undiluted benefit of that given tone or tint or
shade.
Colour is more important than pattern or motif. |

God uses circles; the Devil chose pyramids. |
