Well, taking your statement at face value, I would have to agree. I did try and figure out a way to
play the devils advocate on this, but I couldn't get around to doing it. The other side ----> will
take care of that for me I suppose. I understand that the issue is not so cut and dry if one wishes
to dig deeper; however, your statement and description is to the point, thus our responses should be
to the point. |

I wouldn’t say it was the government as much as it is the people who want to get elected. It’s a
small difference but an important one. Anyway, I’m actually coming at this from the direction of a
liberal who has a number of conservative beliefs as well. It seems to me that even though most
Americans are somewhere in the middle of the political spectrum it is more convenient to the powers
that be on both sides to marginalize, or push away from the center, the American voter because it
makes them easier to control and easier to predict. And the political rhetoric has been divisive for
a long time in order to further that agenda. You just have to stand tall and vote you conscious. And
try to remember politicians aside most Americans want the same things, they just have different
ideas on how to get there. |

I can't find fault with what you explain above.
You can spend plenty of time making allowances for those who annoy, or with whom you disagree, or
surround ones self with an impenetrable barrier through which nothing negative will penetrate. Thus
building positivity within.
You can't please everyone so you might as well please yourself. |

I would say that Christian's Hypocrisy is nothing but the fault of their own. You can live a moral
life without religion clouding you judgment. Religion is the source of the hypocrisy and not the
government. |

The title is funny. I have to disagree with it.
I agree with the description portion.
Me addressing christian hypocrisy would be quite lengthy and I would also be comparing it to all
hypocrisy.
The problem described in the description is mainly the same problem facing us while debating most
topics. It's blanket definitions of words and expressions which supposedly categorize and define
people.
If anyone is truly a conservative at the cost of never being able to support a liberal issue and
vice-versa, they are being a blithering idiot.
While it sounds absurd...it is very close to what is taking place in most conservative/liberal
democratic governments. Most of this is caused by having to overreact to protect ones issue.
I do believe that most politicians are fully aware of this game and can get together with their
opponents on the sidelines to have a few drinks and talk shop.
I find it disturbing that politicians incite the masses to strong disagreement while they play their
game but do little to calm the masses by explaining the game.
Anyway, it's off topic but on topic description. |
