Any one with a more vast army or maintains
a more stable economy seems to be a threat to world peice in the eyes of the U.S. |

All those who say no to this are simply unaware of the facts. China is a major arms exporter and is
enabling wars in Africa notably the Darfur region, it is progressing with a steady annihilation of
the Tibetan people, a country that is not theirs, they are steadily populating the Siberian region
illegally, they have invaded / supported both Vietnam and Korea, they have threatened recently the
United States in negotiations that they can launch nuclear missiles and strike their Western
seaboard cities. They constantly threaten Taiwan. They have disputed border regions with India. They
have a soft power expansion policy that although is not overt is still a danger to our freedoms. For
example they are buying up ownership of Western companies so that they can control or have influence
on the board of major Western corporations. This has direct effects on our media and governments who
have to tow the line of business to some extent because of who owns them all and who has vested
interests in China. For example the commenting on China up until the Olympics has been generally
quiet. However it has been persecuting upwards of over 100 million people within the country for
following the values of Truth, benevolence and forbearance because these good values do not sit well
with a communist / consumer model of social control. That number also excludes other religions as
well such as the Muslims and Christians.
The Chinese government, not the people, they are quite distinct, they have no regard for their laws
or the international laws of Human rights. They do not care about public opinion internally and
externally as has been seen in the way they have started persecuting the Tibetans, Falun Gong and
the dispossed in full view of the West. I think that will do for starters. |

China has a growing population, wealthier citizens, and the resources to do things dangerous to the
world. I hope most have heard of China's 'Liberation Armies' in Tibet. They did not have to do much
in Taiwan, as they stated they would blow the island off the planet if they did not become their
'Client State'. |

China is a threat to American dominance in world affairs. Which, for some, is a welcome change. |

China is functioning as a sovereign nation and has the right to grow as it is. Is it a threat to
the American economy? Yes it is. Could they threaten America militarily considering their military
is growing and Americas is shrinking? Yes. Does the United States have the right to put a stop to
their progress as a nation? No. Does the rest of the world? No. I am for a dismantiling of the
UN. A total demise of NATO. I think China is mostly a threat to the UN's mission for global
dominance under a one world government. If China can function as its own entity, then that
threatens the ideology of global "democracy". I say watch China with a suspicious eye, but don't
get involved in their internal affairs. If they make an attempt at attacking the US, then I say
blow them to kingdom come, BUT until then leave them alone. |

China is not a treat to anyone.
China does not interfere in the internal matters of any country. It has ot taken any military action
out side its borders. It is the only country in Asia that supports its self and supports countries
that have good realtions with it. China is not causing any problems for any country. It is merely
building itself up.
"CHINA IS FOR THE CHINESE!" the UN, EU, USA has no say in its internal matters. Because if China is
a threat then what does it make USA. USA is the one making colonies around China and other nations
by force.
It only watches the show and advices. |

Taiwan is still an independent state. The history of Tibet is complicated. You could say that
Chinese rule is somewhat oppressive there. But non-Chinese rule there was not exactly enlightened
either.
How is China a threat and to whom? Why do Americans always feel threatened? China has not invaded
any countries recently; America has, totally without justification of any kind. China does not spend
anywhere near as much on armaments as the United States does. China does not continually interfere
in other countries' affairs.
China is not a threat to anyone except Taiwan. |

I don't think any country or organization can prevent China from developing. And it makes none sense
that China is a threat to world peace, On the contrary, China is doing its best to consolidate a
peaceful country and a peaceful world. If China has the rich resourse to do dangerous things, so
does USA or other countries. After all, China hopes to find a peaceful way to solve problems, not
wars. And China is of course to be a huge and healthy market in the future. BTW, Tibet is an
autonomous region and Taiwan is a province of China. They are absolutely not countries, ever. |

I think we have a lot to look up to from China. They have healthier life styles and we need that in
our life. |

Bringing China from the third world to the forefront is hardly a threat to world peace. It might be
a threat to the status quo where the United States gets it's way all the time, but the markets
opening up on China are huge and can be readily exploited by the American economy. |
