Both of those board games are over-rated, which is why most play online games nowadays. |

Chess is way better then checkers, it envolves more thinking and more stratagy, i suck at chess
compared to some one who does tournaments but i still love to play, as long as my opponent is as bad
as me lol. |

Chess is much better due to its complexity. With checkers all the pieces are the same and they can
only do the same. It is incomparable to checkers. Chess is awesome. |

I love checkers its easy and fun and a ten year can grasp the concept and play a good game the very
first time. Chess is a sublime interaction with infinite variations and complexities. If I had to
give up one I would give up checkers in a heartbeat. |

I will definitely have to disagree with you on this one Scorpion. Chess is a wonderful inextricably
complicated game, the Queen who can move in any direction all over the board has to protect her King
at all times, and will inevitably give up her life to do so. However, a pawn who safely moves across
the board can become the King's new Queen. The King can only move in any direction, one step at a
time. The opening gambit, is extremely complicated, and the game has been known to take up to a year
to reach its conclusion, and more often and not ends up in stalemate. It's a beautiful game of great
diversity and intellectual stimulation, and requires a lot of creativity and skill. There's far too
much jumping going on in Checkers...;-) |
