Cctv Shouldn't Exist
I think are normal lives are constantly being watched by these cameras, what happen to our right for privacy, it makes us innocent people feel uncomfortable, we are being watched like we are the bad people, the crime level hasn't got no better so what good are they doing.

CCTV should exist... People may feel like they're being watched but its for your own safety. Wouldn't you rather feel like your being watched by a camera then being mugged or attacked by someone who could of been caught if CCTV was around.....i think CCTV plays an important role.. And if we didn't have CCTV then half the criminals wouldn't of been caught... This world is already full will bad people.. Why on earth would any1 want to add to that by not catching people who commit crimes!

 Benjamin Franklin said "They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." I completely agree with him. CCTV cameras are an affront to liberty as they assume that we are all criminals and there is no place for them in a free society. They force people into obedience and will doubtless turn us into a completely safe a robotic society. Of course CCTV has benefits such as catching murderes, rapists, etc. However this is no argument for using them, tatooing a barcode across everybodies forehead so that they can be scanned on the spot by police would have obvious benefits, surely you wouldn't agree to that?

Do you mean CCTV is breaching privacy when you're walking to the bus stop??
More people would be watching you on the street at the same time that on the CCTV.
I'm not saying that crime rates have decreased but it's good to know that if something happens to oneself on the street, there is some evidence to prove it. And there is more of a chance to catch the perpetrator.
