This topic has been done again and again.
Anyway... Cats. They're independent, graceful, beautiful, powerful when they need to be, cleaner,
and usually quieter. And you don't have to go walk a cat twice a day in the rain or ice cold. And
you don't have to pick up their warm poo from the sidewalk as long as they've been litterbox
trained.
But I like dogs too, I'm not anti-dogs, I just don't like to jump from barkings, or be bit, of have
them jump against my nicer clothes. |

Cats are so amazing! I love them, dogs aren't my favorite but it really just depends on the dog.
Cats are just happy, dogs slobber, beg, and just get dirty. I'm not saying cats can't be like that
either but, really most of the time they aren't. |

Cat's are just cooler and more sophisticated. Sure, you can train a dog, but cats are too
intelligent to take orders from their owner. You can sit around just watching TV with your cat on
your lap having a relaxed time whereas with a dog you have to take them walks and they are such high
maintenance. Cats even clean themselves, and you don't have to throw a stick around like with a dog
until it gets bored, which is never. |

This debate has been on here before. Let me simply say I love both cats AND dogs but I prefer cats
because a) Cats poo in a litter box indoors (if trained) while dogs require you to go out in public
to do the deed and then you have to pick the warm grossness up, b) Cats are seldom very loud but
some dogs bark loud and long and are very grating on the nerves, c) Cats seldom attack you or
strangers out of the blue and you hear a lot about dog maulings but almost never about cat maulings,
d) I like the individuality of cats. You have to earn their trust, it isn't just master and
slave.
But if you love dogs that's fine, dogs are fine pets too. |

I think cats are better. Dogs do make good companions but I believe cats also provide good company.
They're also a lot more interesting than dogs and a lot easier to look after.
I suppose it depends what type of pet you are looking for. If you want a proper companion then a dog
is a good idea, but I prefer cats because they are a lot more fun and they can look after themselves
better than dogs.
Also, they are not as dangerous as dogs and so are more useful to have as pets if you have small
children. Cats are also better for owners who have a busy lifestyle. A dog will need to be taken for
a walk and if you have a busy lifestyle you may not be able to find time to do this.
Cats are loving. We have a cat who is very affectionate. She loves company, sits on our lap and will
even come to the door to see us off if we're going out anywhere! She's a very loving cat and knows
how to take care of herself. The only time she bothers us is when she wishes to be fed or brings in
a mouse from the garden! But we don't mind. She means no harm and doesn't bring us any trouble.
So I definitely think cats are better. I find them much more fun, interesting and more importantly,
less dangerous. |

Are cats really more intelligent?
I kind of like the way they move, and I really like big cats (lions, tigers, leopards,etc).
But dogs are just well more friendly, well more cool and well more likeable. |

Hahah, some cats are cute, but in my opinion is if you have more than two cats you're a crazy cat
person. Its unnecessary. One of my best friends adoptive mothers was a divorced sixty year old
woman with 9 cats and she talked to each of those cats individually more than she did to my friend,
her son. |
