I agree with gottfried. The american economy has died and been buried along time ago, it's just we
have failed to take notice. Major denial going on here. The cap and trade just reassures us all
that a resurrection is not possible, even in the miraculous sense, although I understand it to be a
rather puny bill in actual fact. |

Maybe REAL coffins for those who live in areas where corporations are allowed to pollute to excess
because they traded for some other corporation's pollution allowances. It is a deadly bill. It's
actually license to kill. |

Maybe the start on the next coffin... |

Instead of complaining about the bill now would it have not been a better idea to hyave called your
congressperson and told them how you felt? That is the way to affect change. |

Firstly who are the 'Libs'? The Libertarian Party in the US has almost no power, and the Democratic
Party is not a liberal compared to global standards.
Secondly, what is 'control of every aspect of our lives'? Again, compared to state influence
globally, you are a highly unusually right-wing country. This healthcare bill is a good example. The
right-wing of America is going crazy about it because it will add $1Trn of cost over ten years. The
NHS in Britain will cost well over £1Trn over the same period. We have a population of about 20% of
yours, and lower rural areas. In other words, to get the coverage that we consider standard you
should be paying more like $10Trn over that time!
Stop going mad about this bill, there are legitimate arguments against it, but running around like a
headless chicken shouting that the sky is falling isn't one of them. |
