The only exception to the rule are childhood sweethearts. Everyone else is just a victim to raging
hormones and can't tell the difference between infatuation and real love. By what I've heard most
people don't find anyone until they're in college. |

I agree no they couldn't have its just hormones, at that age i did some pretty reckless stuff
without thinking its lust not love, although sometimes fery vew, couples can stay together that long |

Love can exist at any time, and why shouldn't it. If two people become attracted to one another and
enjoy each others company and get married is that not love? And is it not true that these feelings
can be felt early on? In fact there is a moderate percent of people who marry in high-school or
marry their high-school sweethearts and have successful marriages. |

As innomen said, hormones replace any feelings of love and intensify them into something completely
different, infatuation. Though there is no definite answer where love comes from, I say it comes
from the brain and a ninth-graders brain has not fully developed, therefore there capacity for
actual love is absent. |

No reason why you can't. All the more reason not to rush to marriage. As far as you, as opposed to
your friends, chances for love don't end in ninth grade either. C'mon now. |

There is a lovely couple who works at my church. He asked her to a dance in ninth grade and dated
her all through high school and college. They fell in love, got married, and now the have a happy
life with two beautiful children and she recently became a cancer survivor, so don't tell me that
you can't find love in 9th grade! Besides, love can have many different levels. I love my brothers,
but I'm not going to marry them. I love my best friend, but we haven't dated in a year and a half.
Love isn't always, "o, i love you, marry me and we'll live happily ever after". It can be discovered
at any age, but it does need time to grow and be realized. Marriage doesn't happen at fifteen
anymore, obviously... |

I think that at that age hormones are on a rampage and it would take a particularly mature person to
be able to truly and clearly love someone else. Love is more than just strong attraction, or even
obsession, which is often mistaken as love. It is rare for someone to feel the same way for another
person at that age as it would be five years from then. One's ability to have sex is often confused
with someone's ability to love. For most people their own identity is still in its earliest stages
of developing, and they are not able to truly incorporate the identity and life of someone else into
their own. Are there exceptions? Probably. |
