Bush Wasn't Misled By Faulty Intelligence About Iraqi WMD. He Simply Lied About The Intelligence He Did Receive.
After failing to find WMD in Iraq, the Bushistas and their fellow travellers in the media have spun a web of lies to cover up what really happened. They claim they were misled by faulty intelligence about the Iraqi threat. But this is utterly false, as confirmed by the Senate intelligence report which was finally released last week after being shamefully delayed by the Senate Repugnicans. The report concluded that almost every claim Bush made about a threat from Iraq was unsupported by the intelligence. Bush wasn't misled. He lied. And even some Republicans endorsed this conclusion.

Bush has been lying since the day he got into office. He went in looking for a way to invade Iraq and get Saddam because he tried to kill his daddy. When 9/11 happened (and I have no doubt Bush knew about it ahead of time), he immediately asked his advisors to manufacture evidence that Iraq was involved so he could invade. Afghanistan was only a diversion from his real goal. We've wasted trillions of dollars on this moron's personal war of vengeance.

At the time, the U.N.'s weapons inspectors said they couldn't find WMD. The CIA said they couldn't find WMD, and in fact said they were pretty sure there weren't any.

I am unaware of any higher sources of information on world affairs.

"We won't get fooled again..." Yes, we will. People don't think.

The funny thing is that at the time he did little to cover up his direct involvement in manipulating the intelligence. It was only sometime later when no WMDs were found that he blamed it on the very intelligence that he forced Tenet to manipulate in the first place. And the Dems didn’t challenge it because they were covering their buts because most of them had voted for the Iraqi invasion, as well.
