I think books are better friends because they wont get mad at you and they dont have feelings.. But
books wont walk away from you like friends would.. |

Books make brilliant friends:
(1) They never ask you to sleep on the wet spot when you take them to bed.
(2) You can enjoy a book all night long.
(3) Your book will never get upset if you come home with another book...;-)
(4) Your book will always wait in the car while you go shopping.
(5) Books don't demand equality.
(6) Books don't play around.
(7) It's so easy to pick up a book.
(8) You can have more than one book per night and you don't feel guilty.
(9) Your book doesn't mind if you wear the same pair of underpants for a week
(10) You can take your book on vacation, and only need one suitcase.
(11) You can take your book to the bathroom.
Aye! Books definitely make the best friends....;-) |

I'm not speaking ill of books in any way. At any given time I'm typically reading several and have
at least one on my person. However I fail to see how you can form a friendship with one. |

Anyone who considers books their best friend has a social disorder. |

I'm a big fan of books and actually read every day. I'm currently working on "Fast Food Nation".
However, books are no more my best friend than the internet or For and Against or the TV or my
lunch. Books are one of many means for receiving information.
But enjoy your reading. |
