They are. How can you post this and then say that all youth should be made to join a cadet
organisation. Contradiction alert! But they are, and often deprive students of the proper social
skills and boundaries to function properly. Lazy on behalf of the parents too. |

I don't think they are outdated.
I go to a boarding school and have been for the past 4 years. I felt is has built my confidence and
individuality. Unhealthy competition? Of what? I think there is the same level of competition as in
any other (boarding) school.
However, I grant that staying in a boarding school too long means that some students are wrapped up
in a bubble and will find it hard out in the 'real world'. |
