| Black People Can Be Racist As Well |
| If you asked someone what the definition of racism was, they'd more than likely say a white person being either verbally or violently discriminating a black person. Black people can be racist but because it is unusual we don't identify that. I'm completely for racial harmony and peace and all that but I'm just putting it out after being asked to by my sister. |

Ironic jokes aside, yes, anyone can be racist. Non-white people can be racist towards each other
too. It's just not considered as faux pas for some reason. |

Like athling said, this has been posted several times before. BUT that's ok I suppose. Oh and like
athling, I have recently posted a comment concerning this exact thing. Look it up. Being that I am
a person of "color"...I know that racism in the black community exists. It even exists within our
communities against ourselves. It is shameful. A person is too light skinned or too black...it is
ridiculous. I knew a guy so black he looked purple! And others would always tease him about how
black he was. Weird stuff. |

Anyone could possibly be a racist. Racism has many forms, and disguises, and should be defeated
every time it raises its ugly head. In fact it should be stamped upon. Martin Luther King sums up
the best stance against racism: ''I have a dream that one day this nation will live out the true
meaning of its cree": 'we hold these truths to be self-evident; that all people are created equal.'
When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring for every village and every hamlet, for every state
and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white
men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words
of the old Negro spiritual, 'Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are Free at last!' |
