| Big Brother (TV Show) Is A Boring Extorted Waste Of Time!!! |
| Big Brother is a world famous TV show where a bunch of random Men and Women are put in a big house and told what to do to win $1,000,000 Is it a waste of time for viewers to watch? Why would an educated person sit down for several hours a week and watch other people live there life? Comment NoW!!! |

Well I did try to watch celebrity big brother. It was no surprise to see those girls gang up on
Shelpa Shetty. I don't really enjoy watching misbehaving juvenile attention seekers. They try to out
do each other. I have got better things to do than watch that rubbish. It is quite startling to find
out who does watch it. What are they trying to find out? I only tuned in to see what Leo Sayer was
like and even that was disappointing. |

I agree, but sometimes they find some really good lookin' females to stick in that house....lol |

The original idea was to explore real people from the street who were just ordinary and see how they
reacted in a close social environment. Now only freaks are chosen, and so the point of the show has
become meaningless. |

I agree. I admit that I enjoyed the first few series when I was younger, but now I think it's one of
the most pointless and boring television shows ever to be shown. I fail to understand it's purpose.
We get a group of people eating, drinking, sleeping and performing a selection of tasks in front of
a camera. Basically they are doing everyday things to compete for a cash prize. I find the whole
idea ridiculous and the fact that they hardly have to do anything to win a large amount of money
annoys me.
I also cannot stand the fact that after a series has ended we constantly hear about what the
contestants are doing next and how they've found fame. The point is, no one cares. Well I don't
anyway. I get sick of hearing that a particular contestant is launching a pop career etc.
I'd rather watch paint dry than sit watching a bunch of contestants competing for money for doings
things that we do in everyday life. It's an insult to people who really have to work hard to earn
good money. |

I am at a total loss to explain why anyone would waste their time watching other human beings
perform the most mundane tasks. The true banality of Big Brother hit me last August when I spent
three weeks in London. There appeared to be a channel dedicated to showing Big Brother just about
24/7, with CCTV cameras zooming in on people sleeping in their beds, eating breakfast, walking
around the house aimlessly, or simply lounging on a sofa. I sat in my hotel room one cool and dreary
morning waiting to see how long Big Brother would spend showing a woman snoring in her bed. I waited
for around 15 minutes, wondering who in their right mind would sit through this on a regular basis,
watching someone else in bed, on a CCTV camera. It also hit me just how creepy our voyeuristic
society had become.
Thankfully, the riveting climax came when the woman awoke and poured herself a bowl of corn flakes
for breakfast. But instead of waiting to see what happened next, I picked up my Guardian, made a
quick dash for the door and hopped on the Tube to Central London, which makes for much better
entertainment for those who get their joy out of observing the mundane realities of every day life. |
