Who you are attracted to is hardly an issue for ANYONE not directly involved. It is not an issue
for any government, religion, outside party...ANYONE.
Race, sexual orientation, creed, faith...these are all topics TURNED into issues by governments to
distract their people from REAL issues that they don't want to come to light. |

Being gay is abnormal. Keep it out of our marriage and Constitution. |

I'm constantly stunned by the things people choose to make an issue. There are so many deadly real
issues in this world and people spend their time upset about what the two stylishly dressed men at
the end of the block call their relationship. Unfortunately as Shakespeare said, there is nothing
either good or bad, but thinking makes it so. |

Well it shouldn't be an issue, people who don't like it, well fine but instead of leaving it alone
they choose to make it their business. As Grenache pointed out it clearly is an issue in society, it
shouldn't be but it is hence the calls for equal rights. |

Well, I'm all for gay rights including gay marriage, and I agree they shouldn't be an issue. But
the debate topic says it "isn't really an issue" and that statement is empirically disproven by the
fact that for many walking talking people, including many outside of politics, being gay is very
much a big issue. The outrage and indignation of some individuals and groups in society disproves
the claim homosexuality isn't an issue.
Otherwise, I'm all for getting past it, all for equal rights regardless of sexual orientation, or
for any other matter such as age, gender, race, etc. |
