Can I avoid playing on religion's golden lyre? In this case... No. God, or any "benevolent"
spiritual creator, leader, cannot possibly be attuned to the hatred of anything.

For all you religious people that think homosexuality is a sin, listen up: Homosexuality, while the
Bible says its a sin, holds an equal amount of weight to pretty much every other sin. So if you're
prideful, greedy, lazy, angry, or just plain hard-up for sex, you're just as bad as a homosexual.
I personally do not think there is anything wrong with being homosexual as I feel it is genetic and
not a choice. I also think that homosexuality is part of God's population control scheme, at least
for the U.S. Because we've got people pumping out kids like they want to take over the world. So
next time you see a gay person, thank them; that's one less child that is going to be eating up your
taxes. |

God made each of us who we are today. If someone is gay its because God created him/her that way.
Nobody seems to understand that.
If a man loves a man/woman loves a woman, so let it be.
But if they love god ,and worship him, how can he deny them love himself? |

I feel a little like I’m intruding because I don’t believe in God. However I feel safe in saying
that if God hates gays he/she/it/ they are unworthy of your worship. |

Since God is Love, of course He loves gays. But that doesn't love what they do. The word Hate in the
Bible means "to love less" tell me if you can hate someone without "caring" Hate is not the
opposite of love...indifference or not caring is.
Wouldn't a better question be, why does it say God hate homosexuality, He must have a reason????
It's called a sin..and archery term meaning to miss the mark or bullseye. Missing the bullseye is
not doing what's best for you, which is what He wants. At what age or time
does sodomy become OK? If sodomy is not OK to an 8 year old what makes you think the psyche of and
adult takes it any different. |

God appearantly hates no-one. He gave us free will, he should deal with this. Why is it a crime?
Love should not bear punishment, a person can help their sexual orientation, you can't scrutinise a
person for their feelings. |

Perfect example of where religion reflects the fears and insecurities of man. There is no spiritual
principle or ideal that involves hate. A great opportunity to think for yourself and understand how
religion can be wrong. |

If there is a God, and i doubt there is, then no he wouldn't hate gays. And if he did it would

Of course I agree with this! I find Catholicism extremely hypocritical: "God loves everyone...but
not if you're black, female, not Catholic, or gay." Just because the Catholics are denouncing it
doesn't mean it's not a perfectly legitimate way of expressing yourself. I mean, any God I believe
in loves EVERYONE equally. Loving thy neighbor in a different way than most people doesn't mean you
love them less. |

Being gay has nothing to do with religion and since there isn't any rational reason to think God is
real to begin with, it's utterly irrelevant. |
