Most emo people aren't disturbing at all, they just have a bad reputation because a few of them cut
themselves. |

It's just the latest craze. |

I'm emo and we don't always wear black or cut or get piercings or have ratted black hair. Take me
for an instance i have soft brown hair only two piercings in each ear (wick for a dummy like you
that means two on the right and two on the left) i wear black alot but i do occasionally wear
abercrombie or fitch or go to pac sun and last umm i think cutting is disgusting! So dude leave us
alone |

There is nothing wrong with it at all. They dress this way to represent their mood, hence the word
"emo", which is short for "emotional" as Keetonman pointed out. |

Emo is a group of people and even if you don't enjoy that style, treat it with some respect. Those
people are humans; not freaks. |

Emo is just the latest label for anti-establishment behavior. We had grunge before that and goth
and punk before that. We will always have people who strive to be anti-establishment, and the fact
you find them offensive is exactly the payback they hope to get by looking that way. And although I
don't personally like the look, being anti-establishment usually is considered pretty cool. Of
course the ironic truth is enough people start to look that particular way it actually stops being
original and starts being conformist. And that's when Emo will be replaced with whatever comes
after it. |

People said that about the first people to wear jeans. Now everyone wears them. In twenty or thirty
years, more or less everyone will be an Emo. Emo culture will be so pervasive that it will no longer
have a distinct name. All we need is a great Emo leader to appear, a messianic presence who can
inspire the multitudes. |

Okay, first of all, how do you know what normal is? This is America, there's no such thing as
"normal." And second, who are you to judge what they like to do? If they like black, let them wear
it. You think they're weird and disturbing? Well, I say your the one who is weird and disturbing
because you judge people by their looks without getting to know them. |

Hey look the idea you have is good but, not all emo's cut and they're not the ones who get all the
piercings and tattoo's. They aren't trying to be cool, they're depressed, the word emo is a short
word for emotional. This is why I'm against your thought. |
