Being Called 1 In A Million Is An Insult.
If you do the math that would mean there are roughly 7,000 more people just like you. I find that to be insulting because our uniqueness is what makes us special.

I'll go against the flow and agree with this one.

I never actually thought of it that way...but it is better to have only 7000 people be like you than 7 billion =/

Isn't NOT being called one in a million a far worse insult?

But I get your point. It's an expression we don't analyze too closely when we use it.

I don't think I'd ever take it as insult from anyone and no one I've ever said it to seems upset by it. I highly doubt anyone even you is going to work out the maths behind such as phrase and then decide its an insult.

Good one, but I doubt if it was meant as an insult, as it is highly unlikely that they did the math and meant to say how unique you are, ironically, which I believe is your point after all.
