Later in life it becomes much harder. |

I read your comment... It is(most of the time) very different when your the youngest one. Your the
attention and your parents have had expeirence on how to handle and nurture you. When your the
oldest your kinda of like a guniea pig and your no longer the star of the show and you have the
responsibility of helpin out and being a rolemodel. I was nine when my bro was born(now im 19) and i
love him dearly tho i can not get along with but life was nicer and more peaceful when i was the
solo child. And yes i know part of it is being that i am going through the teen years but i can tell
how things are different with a younger sibling |

Froggy happens to be the oldest of five children and also has a best friend, Bunny, who is an only
child.
Both have gone back forth between family comparisons.
Not accounting for their parents and just herself and Froggy's siblings they've come to the
conclusion that, while it's lonely as an only child, the stress, responsibility, and complete
ignorance of children makes having siblings so much harder.
As an only child does not have to worry about where any of her siblings are she can run off with
friend whenever she so wishes. However Froggy must know there whereabouts and how long they will be
provided for before she can even step foot out of the house.
Because it costs less to feed one mouth rather than five Bunny is allowed an allowance and random
'necessities' Froggy's allowance is hardly existent and there is no such thing but necessities.
It is indeed much harder to have siblings, they don't have as many friends as the only children who
have the time for them. |

Siblings are annoying and get on your nerves but i suppose they keep you company |

No way. Siblings are just a bunch of annoying little people you're forced to live with. |

Your friend has also matured over time. She's grown up. I doubt it was all the little brother that
made her decide to mature-up. Look at yourself cool girl. Have you matured over the time period? I'm
guessing the answer is yes. |

It varies by family so the statement is neither generally true nor generally false. The wealth,
career, or personality of the parents are big factors and can be all good or all bad regardless of
the size of the family. The only child might have more parental resources, yet they won't have any
sibling resources (their clothes or toys or other possessions). The child with siblings might have
to share everything, yet they may be far less spoiled and have far better social skills for that
same reason.
Every family is different. |

Sorry, I have to disagree, I'm the oldest of three, I have to share EVERYTHING with my sisters, I
have to look after them too, I can't go on the computer any time I want, I have to fit my social
opportunities around theirs. My bf's mum has a similar paid job to my dad, I go to a state school
but she gets a public school education! It's hard bing one of three |
