There is a fine line between being a huge fan and being crazy and obsessed, I have learned to try
not to cross this line, it will get you in trouble. |

It is very common at a very young age that we start liking a particular celebrity, whether he or she
is an actor, singer or a player. Choices vary from person to person, but we develop a special
weakness for them. Thus in simple word we become their fans, we collect their pictures, posters,
wallpapers and many others stuffs like that. But there are a few among us who become crazy about
some celebrity and also they get severely obsessed with them. In the due course they forget that
they take certain steps or somehow they behave in certain manner which may not be good for them and
they may be hurting themselves. It is just that they turn unreasonable when issues relate to the
celebrity they like and often they end up creating situations which are unhealthy and in most of the
cases harmful. |

It's fine to have an interest in a particular celebrity or band, but to be interested to the point
where it's all you ever think about is unhealthy. When we're a fan of a particular celebrity or
band, we like to go to concerts or keep track of that particular celebrity, but not to the extent
where it consumes over 90% of our thoughts.
How obsessed you become with something could depend on your lifestyle. If you lead an active life
where you're busy everyday, then you may be less likely to become obsessed with these type of
things. If you lead a life where you don't socialise with other people much or you don't have a job,
then you're more likely to develop an obsession because it gives you something to focus on.
We all have interests and hobbies that we focus on, but to just focus on one thing and only think
and talk about that particular thing and nothing else isn't very healthy. Life is about variety. We
need to concentrate on our own lives and be realistic, rather than following the life of a
celebrity.
The fact is, celebrities don't even know we exist, so why spend your life putting all your focus on
someone who you aren't very likely to meet? Instead, we should focus on the people around us who we
can communicate with and build up proper relationships with, rather than someone who is way out of
our reach. |

I agree that being obsessed with a celebrity is very healthy. It is okay to like celebrities, but it
is unhealthy to be obsessed with them. When one gets obsessed with a particular celebrity, they will
do crazy things. They will go out of their way to meet this celebrity and do other things that could
be harmful to themselves or to the celebrity. Obsession is unhealthy because it becomes such a part
of someone's life that they cannot concentrate on anything else but the obsession. It is like an
addiction. Anyone who is obsessed with any celebrity should seek professional help because it really
is a psychological problem. It is better to be obsessed with life than with a celebrity. |

Obsession in all its forms is damaging to ones personality. Obsession is when you develop a liking
for something that is totally out of balance and unhealthy. Obsessions towards a certain celebrity
can affect the proper development of your own personality as you will probably be too busy copying
their style of dressing, talking, walking etc and keeping track of all other activities that they
indulge into. |

Being obsessed with any given celebrity is not a healthy state of mind. The problem is that you may
find that this profound fascination with a celebrity distracts you from your work, career or your
studies. It may even have a negative impact on your relationships, if you find that your pronounced
interest in celebrities causes you to lose touch with people who are actually close to you in the
"real" world.
There's nothing wrong with going to concerts (although four in as many days may be a bit too much),
but if you find that your fascination with a celebrity is consuming an ever increasing part of your
life and your thoughts, then you should consider making a conscious effort to take your mind off of
this.
Don't let the fact that you admire certain celebrities take away from opportunities of advancement,
careers and from developing relationships with people in your own life. Otherwise you may find that
years from now, when you will have probably moved on from these interests, you will regret all the
missed opportunities and the wasted time. |

I agree this is not healthy for your yourself. I know my one friend is very obsessed with the jonas
brothers and that' all she talks about. |

Of course it's not healthy, being obsessed with *ANYTHING* isn't healthy. Going to a couple
concerts here and there really isn't a big deal, but if all you can think about and talk about is
your particular obsession, you need professional help. |
