| We Are Doomed To Fail, Just Like Egypt, Rome, And Every Other Great Empire |
| History shows that every people of an region have at one point dominated the world. And each one of them were doomed in the end. Rome rose, then fell sharply. England rose, then fell. I think America is in its rise, and if we keep moving at our present course, we will fall also. |

I agree we will lose our super power status soon because the Bible tells all in the book of Daniel
chapter 8. This prophecy is for the end time which started 51/2 years ago and indicates the U,S.
After destroying Iran will be replaced by four other powers. The U,S, will never be mentioned again
in the Bible. When Bush Destroys Iran and leaves office in Jan.09 this is the beginning of the end
for the U,S.

At least our friends in Europe will be happy. They deserve some happiness. |

Absolutely, there all kinds of evidence that were going down hill now. You all aren't going to like
this, but Egypt, Rome and Greece all went down hill right after they accepted homosexual behavior.
I'm not saying that caused it, I'm saying that's a sign of decline.
It's China's time, the Bible says the 7th world power will become the first, the country with
an army of 400 million. That could only be China. |

Of course, its just a matter of time. How do you think it would be remotely possible to stay as a
super power for ever? Failing economy, and depression are just small factors that could take hand in
the specific steps needed to create a crumbling America. Think of other possible super powers that
would be willing to go to war with you. War could break out for so many reasons such as for land,
money, and power. Eventually a nation will make an excuse to engage in war to gain supremacy over
the world. |

We seem to be in a "downward spiral of decadence", so unless we radically change course, which isn't
likely, I would have to guess yes. If we can't learn from the mistakes of our predecessors, we will
be doomed to repeat them. |

Well, if history is any teacher. Your cited examples all lost the vitality important to a
civilization. How? They grew liberal. We are darned close to the precipice. |
