Sharks Are Not Really Man Eating Monsters
Here's my take....If you go into the ocean, your fair game for a shark to have for lunch. It's their world, not ours. I don't buy the "professionals" opinions that it's all a case of mistaken identity when sharks attack a human. It's your choice to enter their world, therefore you take the risk. So, sharks aren't man eating monsters, they are only doing what comes naturally. Agree or not?

Sharks aren't the smartest fish in the sea. If they see something flailing in the water, they assume it's food and don't really care what it is. They generally go for anything smaller and more helpless than them

Of course there not. Any animal is likely to attack if they are provoked. The shark just happens to be scarier than other animals.

Why is this even a topic of discussion? I mean of course they are only doing what nature intended. Come up with something better please.

Sharks don't just go around attacking humans, and when they do, there's either blood and/or thrashing around that caught the sharks attention. Sharks mistake the thrashing for an injured seal and attack for food. And like most preditors, the smell of blood attracts them

While sharks don't go around attacking humans, they will kill and eat humans..and not just because they mistake one for a seal. One example I can recall is the girl from the cruise ship a few years back. She was attacked by a great white while swimming away from the ship and the shark attacked her several times, removing one of her legs. She was saved by fellow crew members in a life boat. Had they not been there for her the shark would have probably killed her. Bull sharks and Tiger sharks also have a rep for killing humans, so I don't always think it's a case of mistaken identity. And again I say, it's the risk you take when you enter the ocean. I don't blame the sharks for following their instincts.
