I think so but mainly because the lenders don't wish to take a bath.
It won't be long now before they have lost 25% of there value, and the banks Far to tempted, will
suddenly be more than happy to offer an affordable mortgage. |

Ok I am sick of winging people moaning about the house prices in the UK.
I used to live there I am 30 now, i bought my first flat when I was 18 and have always owned
property, I have never needed or had a mortgage and before you start I didn't receive any help from
my parents or anyone else.
Message to young moaning people..GET A DECENT JOB THAT PAYS WELL, THEN YOU CAN BUY A HOUSE!!! |

My eldest daughter has just brought her first house with her boyfriend, and she was sat at home with
me and the wife going on about how she could not afford to buy a house because they were too
expensive, so i asked her some questions. I asked her how long she had been working, she said 7
years, i asked how much money she she earns per year, she said £14,000, so i said that in all that
time have you not saved anything? She didn't answer. She has earned almost £100,000, about £70,000
after taxes etc, and only had some handbags, a mobile phone and a old Fiat car to show for it. I
told her when she left school and got a job to put a bit a side for the future, had she, well
obviously not enough.
The point i am trying to make is, it's very easy to say " i can't afford to buy a house" and that
they are out of reach to first time buyers, every case is different, and for different reasons and
not everyone is on a decent wage, i can only speak for myself, and our circumstances, but in
essence, most younger people live for today, and don't think of tomorrow, and then bleat on about
how unfair life is. I will say we helped her as much as we could, as any parent would do. |
