Well, each debater certainly thinks his or her debate is debate-worthy. I know I do. |

It's worth it, definitely.
1. It's fun
2. You get to find out other people opinions, which is interesting
3.You get to state your own opinion
4.It helps to look at the arguments for and against something if you haven't made your mind up about
it yet. |

You're not going to find very many people who have an account w/ this site that will disagree with
this. |

Some debates are not worth debating about.
Of course, most are.
But I personally have learnt a lot from different people on their separate ideas. It becomes very
interesting from time to time. |

Why aren't they worth debating? We're voicing our opinions to others who want to voice theirs. Ideas
and beliefs get tossed around, some people become enlightened, others ignore people, start rants,
etc.
Fact of the matter is, if we didn't debate, what else would we be doing? Playing World of Warcrack? |

No, not all debates are worth debating. Also no, "God" will not come down to prove us right or
wrong.
But I agree with what scorpion said about gaining communication skills. I feel that it is a healthy
way to voice one's opinion, and at the same time find out the opinions of others. |

But learning HOW TO talk to people, and to connect to some few members of the human race who also
enjoy debate, is very good for Society.
Besides, I may be the minority here, probably am,....but,
I do not require, nor indeed even necessarily desire that someone agree with me all the
time........
I enjoy The Sharpening Process you could say..............;-)........
Even if I am disagreed with, I get something good from the Intellectual Stimulation of debate.
For these reasons, I must disagree with this topic of debate as written above. |
