Computers are very useful. There are many skills that can be learnt from using a computer, such as
word processing, research, databases, spreadsheets, desktop publishing, HTML and so on. These skills
are very useful for children and will give them a good start in their education. |

Computers are a great tool for learning. If kids learn enough about computers and how to use them
while they are going to school they end up with a skill before they even go to college or enter the
workforce. |

Computers help with research and a lot of jobs require you to use Microsoft word and computers
teaches you how to use this stuff |

I think the important word is TOOL. Computers are great at aiding learning. They have their place
and should not replace books and theory. |

I have come across situations, where a cashier did not know how to make change because the
computerized cash register was down. If all you know is the computer, what will you do in a power
shortage? To rely solely on the computer is a bad thing. It is a good skill, but should not be the
only skill. |
