Anything You "live" For Should Then Be Worth Dying For
If you live for one thing, one person, one feeling then that one thing should be worth dying for. That should give you something to think about the next time you say you live for something. Unless you disagree with the statement.

If, and only if, what you’re living for is worth more to you than your own life. It’s not worth dying for if what you’re living for is less valuable to you than the life you might get to spend enjoying it.

If it's worth wasting your life over then life would be a waste without it.

Hope

The list of things I would die for is larger than the list of things, I would live for.

It would be healthy to think like that. Otherwise life is taken for granted.

The logic is sound. Of course I don't think most people mean it literally when they say they live for something.

I'm not sure what you mean. By "live for" do you mean experiencing that one thing is the reason you want to live, or that you live to further a cause?

I'm not sure someone should die for something they live for to experience ("I live to play football"), but in the case of working towards a goal (liberating the galaxy) it would depend on whether you would be of most help dying or going on a suicide mission, or having years and years for the cause.

Well that was the point of the debate.
You don't really live to play football, because would you die for it?

It's the dying part which fills the bill.
If you're willing to die for it, then you live for it, right?
And that's the question I'm really asking.
Sorry for the confusement.

No, unless I can include myself. I come alone and I die alone.
