Anyone Who Claims That Gays Getting Married Will Somehow Damage Their Marriage Clearly Has Something Wrong With Them And It Already.
After certain debates recently I got rather annoyed so I thought I'd post this one. If two gay people get married how does that effect anyone else around them? It makes no logical sense, in recent debates with the likes of LordDaniel and Godfighter this point has rather got to me.

Some people just look for things to get unreasonably upset about. If it was not gay marriage, it would be something else. They don't care what the issue is (as along as its not their issue--cowardice and sadism is a major part of racism). Even if it is religion, gay rights, sexism, whatever, it's all a form of racism because they are viewing someone else (never them, of course ) as not included and inferior. Their motto is:--I should be allowed but you shouldn't.

Most noticeably, those against gay marriage belong to religious groups that have the highest divorce rates. The states with legalized gay marriage have the lowest divorce rates.

It's just like the issue of sex education: US states against sex-ed have the highest rates of teen pregnancy and STD transmission, while states with proper sex-ed have the lowest rates of both. Wilful blindness is how those idiots live their miserable lives.

The wording they like to use is the damage done to the "institution of marriage".

It's the weakening of the institution (same as the weakening of the "moral fiber") they're talking about.

It's a preposterous accusation.

The number one (big daddy of them all) weakening of the institution of marriage was done when the Roman Catholic Church declared itself The Church.

The church was the body of believers and it was "married" to Christ. The body of believers being the individuals who believed, not an organized religion that called itself The Church.

The Roman Catholic Church (for one) has no business saying anything about marriage.

In the secular world, heterosexuals have made such a mess of marriage I don't know why homosexuals would want to have anything to do with it but if they do...then they should have the right the same as anyone else.

I, like Hizashi am for equal rights. Freedom and equal rights are good things. Domination and discrimination are bad things.

Religion which espouses domination and discrimination is anti-christ.

Anyone against gay marriage is also against equal rights. Plain and simple. Just take a look on the other side of this debate for example.

How does your Ford Explorer affect my Toyota Rav4? Same idea. Similar concept. A marriage is consecrated as a sacred relationship between the man and woman (Not to offend you gays, we went over how I feel about this before.) But marriage is not between you, your partner, and what people think about you.

How would you feel that your relationship is on the shoulders of you, your partner, and essentially Lord Daniel, since Lord Daniel is an imposing figure in YOUR relationship.

In my world, if he regards people who sin as not a human at all, then you start to see what respect he may have for himself.

Edit: I am on the wrong side. Ugh.

What are you talking about? Consecrated????

I would have to verify with kd but I'm almost certain kd is not referring to church weddings. I believe kd is referring to civil marriages.

It's possible kd, along with many heterosexuals, does not believe in God. In which case, the entire "consecrated" thing is jibberish.

All the people who worship the God of the Bible need to do some reading if they think that the World shouldn't allow things to be done which damage that which is holy.

In fact, it's downright ludicrous.

Marriage is between a man and a woman. Gay marriages take away all the sacredness and actual purpose of marriage. Gay couples - why do you have to get married anyway? Just live together - just another argument to be heard and recognized.

This response like LordDaniels doesn't explain how gay people getting married would have an effect on say their heterosexual neighbours. If I got married to my boyfriend does that mean that my neighbours marriage is going to somehow break down. I don't think so.
This argument just demonstrates your intolerance, also gay couples want to wed because of the rights afforded by marriage, property, hospital visitation and wills etc.

One good reason is that marriage opens a natural way for a couple to go on and produce children. In my opinion the wedding ceremony is a formal act and ritual based upon custom and tradition, and is the sacred, sanctimonious joining together of Adam and Eve, (man and wife), not Adam and Steve. Adam and Steve make a mockery of the whole affair. That's my opinion and I have every right to that opinion, whether you share it or not...;-) I see the sites Gay National Front are out in force tonight.

You are free to express your opinion but this response does not address how a heterosexuals marriage would be hurt by gay marriage. If there marriage breaks down and they blame it on a gay couple having got married that is just plain stupid.
