Animals Go To Heaven.
Self explanatory. I don't know so don't ask to see where I stand. My dad always asks these questions. My response would be, "It's irrelevant." But if you reference the Bible, please give me some verses or references so I can trace the ideas.

So wait. The egotistical intolerant religious morons get to go to Heaven but the innocent animals who only act on instinct don’t? I sometimes worry about a few of you people.

ROMANS 8:19-21 "the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God, because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God."

LUKE 3:6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.'"

PSALM 36:6 Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your judgments are like the great deep; you save humans and animals alike, O LORD.

GENESIS 1:30 and to every animal of the earth, and to every fowl of the heavens, and to everything that creepeth on the earth, in which is a living soul, every green herb for food. And it was so.

I just voted for the animals on this one. Even though all the people both sides and I don't really know the concept on what "heaven" really is .Really I don't know what heaven and really I don't care but we as humans need to get out of this mind set that humans own earth simply because we are humans

I don't think heaven is real so therefore i don't think animals can go to heaven.

There is no afterlife for animals. That's because animals don't have free will, therefore God doesn't judge them. They just stop existing. Humans have free will, which is why they are either punished in hell or rewarded in paradise.

I don't think they can believe in god, so they won't go to heaveb.

A severely retarded human might not have the capacity to believe in God. To you, does that mean they just stop existing when they die and have no future in heaven? Gorillas that are taught to speak via sign language have developed the ability to tell lies. Maybe some higher animals really do have free will and do know right from wrong. We just don't' hear them talking about it. BECAUSE THEY CAN'T TALK.

My comment is specifically about pets. It would seem selfish to want a beloved animal to retain pet status, which is basically voiceless and under our control. I would rather if an animal went to heaven, it would be given the gift of speech, and a freedom it never knew on earth, and be equal to us in independence. When a Christian thinks of dying, he or she imagines acquiring an enlightened state, yet we want our pets to undergo no such advancement. A pet puts in many years trying to be the best companion to us that it knows how to be. As a thanks for all its hard work, we want to give it a continued existence as a pet. That is just selfishness of the highest degree. It should get the same advancement that we get in Heaven. My beloved pet and I should be able to sit down over tea and chat. And it should no longer be my pet but my friend.

We were put on this earth to tend it and dress it like a garden and subdue the earth. Take dominion over it. Animals included.

As poman549 stated, they can't accept Jesus Christ as their Savior, or God as their Holy Father. Also, they savagely kill each other and mate with countless different partners. That's not exactly heavenly. To be honest, they're too stupid.

True, but what about secluded tribes who had no exposure to Christianity at all? That's not fair if they had no chance.

I don't think an animal has a religion. Unless its those Elephants in Thailand, they believe that the elephants are Buddhism. - etc.
But that might not be true.

On the basis that heaven exists, animals don't have a soul, in which they would accept Jesus into, which is how believers achieve salvation. That is one of the main differences between animals and humans.

It's a silly question since there's no reason to think there's any such thing as heaven to begin with. It's like asking if particularly brave animals to go Valhalla.

 Cephus  06 Apr 2009 06:41

What Cephus is trying to say is there's no reason to ask anything because animals and humans are all either dead or going to die.

It's silly to be on a debate site.

Let's debate something we can really sink our teeth into...

Wrigleys Spearmint is better than Juicy Fruit.
