Animal Testing Should Only Be On Rats
Rats are over populating our earth, and are 99.9% related to us so what better animal than a over populated, basically human, animal to test on. I am totally anti animal testing, but think that if it needs to be done it should only be done on rats.

Animal testing helps us get cures for diseases. Rats have about the same DNA as us so it just makes sense to test on them. Rats are over populating the earth and there helping us survive.

TESTING ON ANY ANIMAL IS WRONG!!!
Rats count as animals.
Why should we test on rats, when we are killing humans every day.
Why don't we test on THEM, huh?!!!

Animal testing is something wrong! Rats are nice animals! I had one and they are very intelligent... The one who started this debate should take a rat's place

Animal testing is 100% wrong in my eyes, whether it's a rat or a dog, what's the difference? It's no less important than the other - none of them deserve to go through it. EVEN A RAT
I strongly disagree

If testing must be done for advances in medicine, then scientists will use a variety of creatures because I don't think one species can meet all of their conditions. I think they would prefer or need a different animal in some cases.

There are many reasons why animal testing is wrong. It should be done on humans who are willing to participate. At there own free will. ANIMAL TESTING IS WRONG. Everyone including animals have rights. No animals should be tested on animals un-less it is the last resort and no humans are willing to participate.

I'm against animal test purely on rats, as I don't think it right to single out a single organism amongst all those out there. I am also against animal test, in many ways, too, though it is certainly beneficial, and has proved to be so in the past.

There was also another debate on animal testing recently, you might find it interesting to look at:

I don't think anything should be tested on animals. Please look around, see what happens when you test things on living creatures....

They should not use any animal for testing, especially if the testing is deadly. Rats, cats, dogs, fish, and all other animals have just as much right to life as human beings. I never understood how they can measure the effects of a product on human beings by testing it on animals. Humans are not like rats or any animals. Every creature is unique and it is not right to compare them. Humans are not rats and should not be compared to them. Above all, most animal testing is useless. It does not prove anything; and poor, defenseless animals lose their lives because of this useless testing. Therefore, I am against using all animals to test human products. Maybe these should do testing on prisoners who are doing lift sentences or are on death row. This would be more beneficial for humans than rat testing.
